If you need to take a screenshot on any iPhone, iPad or iPod touch device, then this guide will show you how to do it in 3 simple steps without the need of any application.
This guide is a part of the series How to Take a Screenshot / Prinscreen, and covers all platforms and devices on which you may need to take a screenshot. Today we will cover how to take a screenshot on any iPhone, iPad or iPod device. This works the same for all. No third party application is required to perform it.
Screenshot is also known as Printscreen sometimes owing to the fact that the default button used for taking a screenshot is named “PrtScrn”, abbreviation for PrintScreen. Lets begin our guide on how to printscreen on windows desktop, laptop pc.
- Go to the screen of which you need to take a screenshot, example being email, chatting apps, gaming window, phone app, browsing window etc.
- Now press the home button at the bottom and the power / sleep button at the top at the same time. If you are having trouble pressing them simultaneously, then you dont have to. You can also simply press the home button first and then press and release the power / sleep button to take a screenshot on your iPhone, iPad or iPod device.
- You will hear a camera shutter sound and your screen will blink briefly to let you know that the screenshot has been taken successfully.
The image file that was generated will be saved in your camera roll in the Photos application. Like I said, you dont need any third party paid or free app to do this.
You can now share this image via email, social networking sites and messaging apps. Have fun. Go share that highest score you just made in Flappy Bird!!
